A 1,000 Community Event
1,000 Coffee is a culmination of the dedication of 1,000 Bikes Ambassadors since 2017. 1,000 Bikes hosted 5 community bike rides and raised more than $75,000 toward bike scholarships and girls education at LO! Tsering Haunstein and Kristi Hundt hosted the first rides in Santa Ynez, California in April 2018 and May 2019. Next, Chye Yee, Evie, David, and Kai completed a 9 day ride around Taiwan in September 2019. In July 2020, amidst the chaos of the pandemic, April Cheng, rode for 4-days in Taiwan with a group of ten high school students, their friends, and families. This year Tsering, Chye Yee, Evie, David, Kai, and April will ride again, this time joined by Ambassadors in more than 10 countries!
